Full story

For 28 years, Lee has endured and suffered from End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).  He was first diagnosed with what is considered the worst stage of Chronic Kidney Disease at the young age of 15.  Although he has been battling this disease for more than half his life, Lee has not let it dictate his life or take away his joy.
Lee has been married to Phoua for 23 years and they have 5 children:Celia (20), Keaira (18), Cloud (17), Kenny (15), Crysania (11).  When Lee was healthy, he enjoyed playing volleyball, tag, football, going for walks, and having picnics with his family.  However, for the past 8 years, Lee's condition has worsened and he had been unable to participate in his family's favorite pastime, let alone go on one vacation with his family.
Lee is currently receiving dialysis treatments 3-4 days a week, leaving him with little to no energy to finish the day.  With only one day (Sunday) to fully recover and feel like himself, he always looks forward to attending church and worshiping.  Lee understands that life is ephemeral and truly in the hands of the Lord.  His one desire is to live long enough so that his children will have their father with the until they have families of their own.
It is truly by the grace of God that Lee has been able to endure this painful disease.  With his faith firmly planted in the Lord and the love and support from his wife, children, and family, Lee continues to fight each day.  He patiently awaits the day that he will receive a kidney donor match.  Will you consider supporting this cause and help Lee and his family with their fight against ESRD?  100% of profits raised will go towards The Kidney Project.
