I'm an honorably discharged disabled veteran. I've been homeless for many years. I purchased some property very cheaply. Frustrated at not being able to find the kind of help that I (and so many others) need, I decided to be the change that I wanted to see in the world. I found that in giving help I also receive help, from others who are in the same or similar shoes. I was doing this on my own in January, and now we are a 5 person full time staff, all volunteer, all serving the mission of sanctuary. We are expanding our organic gardens so that next year the mission can become self-sustainable, as the produce from the gardens can create a significant seasonal income. But we need resources in order to accomplish this. So we are fundraising to be able to get running water, building materials for a greenhouse and for microshelters for our guests, and similar needs. We hope that if you are able you will consider supporting our cause. And of course you're welcome to show up to the party :-)
