My 11 year old daughter is epileptic. She has always enjoyed school and been on honor roll. This year took a turn that I easily passed off as hormones, new school, regular preteen girl stuff. Well, I checked her out early for mom talk- and that's when she told me- a group of 14 or more was holding her down in the bathroom in gym hitting her in the head, making her kiss a girl, making her say things on video. Little do these girls know is one wrong hit to the head my child will not wake up! I took the matter to the administration of the school and district and no action has been took! She is getting bullied all because she stood up for her friends that were being bullied for being a girl that likes girls!!! We need a lawyer, A GOOD ONE!! My daughter is failing, missing days, and cannot focus and the school is worried about their image and not the fact that they are pretty much denying my child and others the right to education- being told to keep them home for a while then not accepting the excuses for absences.
