We've been promised the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Our nation has kept the promise to many White and straight people. Others, including people of color, same-gender loving people, and LGBTQIA people, haven't been so lucky. We saw progress for a season here in the United States. New leadership is working hard to ensure that promise is never fulfilled for marginalized groups. Setting our own nation back wasn't sufficient. Certain lawmakers have exported bigtory, homophobia, and racism.
