Full story

Hurricane Maria, with 150 mph winds and heavy rainfall, hit Puerto Rico on September 20th. This category 4 hurricane devestated the island of Puerto Rico with no mercy. There is still little electricity and clean water on the island. People can't drink clean water, bathe, or flush toilets. There is limited food and cell service. Several remote villages have been cut off from everything completly. This is a disaster involving 3.4 million US citizens.

This hurricane season has been rough for Puerto Rico. First, the island got clipped by Hurricane Irma. Irma was a category 5 storm that swept past the north part of the island. Not even two weeks later, Hurricane Maria directly hit the island. By the time Hurricane Maria hit 60,000 people were still without power from Irma.  Maria was devestating for Puerto Rico because it hit so directly.

Water, food, and fuel are very scarce in Puerto Rico. Power will be out for months. People are running out of food and clean water. People don't have water to drink or bathe. Lots of places like hospitals are running on generators to opperate. They are now running low on fuel.

You can help hurricane relief in Puerto Rico by supporting this campaign.
