I have struggled with how I can help the Black Lives Matter movement. I wanted to use my voice as an artist, but also respect the voices that really need to be heard right now. I chose, therefore, an image from the protests that spoke for itself and used that as my inspiration. I have set up this fundraiser in the hopes of helping in some small way. I will not benefit personally in any way from this. All monies received from this campaign will go directly to the Atlanta Solidarity Fund.
The time for social and systemic change is long overdue, and people of all races and backgrounds are taking to the streets to say enough is enough. We must all take a stand to support black Americans who have been denied the justice and respect they deserve, in whatever way we can. This campaign and ALL of its proceeds will therefore benefit the Atlanta Solidarity Fund to help with any legal costs for protesters. Fight for what's right.
