I'm raising money to volunteer at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. We will be learning about the elephants as well as the culture & people.

We will travel to a rural village in Thailand where we will have the opportunity to interact with elephants, an important figure in Thai society and significant symbol for many centuries. In this program, we’ll assist mahouts—elephant keepers who commit their lives to caring for these animals—and learn how elephant conservation, local community life and tourism are all deeply connected in this region. We'll also participate in local educational programs and community life. Surrounded by the Mae Taeng mountains, we’ll explore the unique aspects of Thailand on a variety of cultural excursions.
