Shannon's Story: It was August 2nd 2011. Doug Ford had just said that he wouldn't know Margaret Atwood if he ran into her on the street.  In the meantime, Rob Ford was making cuts to libraries. Things were looking grim. I made a FB status: 'The pen is mightier than the ford'  (I cannot give them the capital F). I had a connection with a T-shirt place and put an order in for 25 shirts. They were gone within 2 days. So, 50 more, a week later 100. So, where dis the money go? I can't make a profit and sleep at night. So... Frontier College got the first round of profits. I think FC got a 'lil over $700.Then there was another round... St. Christopher House Adult Literacy Program at Dundas and Ossington got a 'lil over $800. 

 

Carrianne's Story: The t-shirt I bought from Shannon in 2011 has holes in it, but I wear it a lot especially since we are facing the same cuts, the same threats, even the same ford. I asked Shannon if we could bring the t-shirt back because friends keep asking me where to get one. Shannon said, heck yes! This site reduces the work for her, and I have volunteered to help.
