As a Jew, I was as moved as anyone by the tragic event at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. It saddened and angered me. I know entire community is hurting, and Jews (and hopefully non-Jews) are hurting, too, because this senseless violence cannot continue. I have friends who are a part of the close-knit Jewish community in Pittsburgh. I feel for them. I wanted to do something, and this version of the Pittsburgh Steelers logo gave me an idea. Instead of just updating our Facebook images, I hope we can wear these shirt with pride - and defiance - and in the process, help Pittsburgh heal. I hope they create a fitting memorial for the victims at the synagogue.
