Hello everyone thanks for taking time to visit my campaign which is very dear to my heart!
My best frend Lisa became sick with a sudden illness a couple of months ago the journey has been one her and her family never anticipated!
Lisa started coughng having trouble breathing was put in ICU for respiratory failure and pneumonia in November 2019. While in the hospital the doctors did a cat scan which revealed what the doctors thought was cancer. Her right lung kept filling with fluid they had to drain the fluid off several times and put her on a ventilator which helped her to heal and her lungs get stronger. Her condtion seemed stable after a couple of weeks in the hospital they sent her home which was a short time home only after a couple days her lung filled with fluid she had to be rushed to the hospital again. She was again placed back in ICU where her condition worsened and she had to be airlifted to another hospital,
Lisa spent several weeks at the new hospital where she again ended up in ICU with her lung needed drained and placed back on the ventilator again. Whike at this hospital through biopses it was confirmed she had cancer, at the time her family was told stage 3 lung cancer. Yet again Lisa's health was not improving she again had to be air lifted to another hospital.
At the hospital she is in now in St. Louis the doctors diaganosed Lisa with a very aggressive cancer know as Sarcoma, which is an aggressive form of bone and tissue cancer. Lisa is fighting for her life her right lung collapsed from the tumor grwoing rapidly pressing on her lung, the cancer has metastasized she now has stage 4 Sarcoma, her kidney function has decreased and the doctors are giving her no hope they want the family to take her off the vent they say it is a matter of a few days she has. We are hoping for a miracle! Lisa spent Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years in the hospital.
Lisa's husband Rick has not left her side he has been off work for awhile dedicating all his time being by Lisa's side caring for her making sure she is getting the best medical care possible, emotional support and love from family and freinds.
At this time they have no medical insuarance or life insuarance so you can only imagine the hardship their family is enduring! Lisa has been my best friend since grade school not only is she a dedicated friend, a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt. Lisa has always put others first she has done alot in our community to make a difference!
I am asking for others to help make a difference for her family to help lighten the load, all the funds raised will go towards medical expenses and final burial expenses if God chooses to call her home we know it is in His hands! Their focus needs to be on spending time with Lisa not on all their hardships from this journey!
Your support is greatly apprecaited as a woman of great faith I know you can not out give God, He does return the blessings when we bless others He has shown me that over and over. So please be a cheerful giver and help ths family that is enduring so much representing Lisa who is Warrior Strong!
