Full story

Hi Im Autum I am 26 years old I am Adopted and was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome state offically in 2017 but have been struggling with EDS and all my other health issues since i was about 10. i also have many other health issues to add to it. To name a few I also have POTS, MCAS, TMJ, Hypothyroidism, Migraines, IBS and many more. ive never been one to ask for help because I know their is always someone else going throuh something worse. but I am at a time in my life where i need help so i created this design that is on these shirts and bags for awareness on my condition and to raise money for my surgeries needed. Unfortunately their is no cure for eds but I will always hope for one! here is alittle about whats going on at the moment.

I’m not one to talk about my health because I don’t need or want pitty or anything like that because I know their is always someone else going through something worse so I’m very thankful and blessed for the life I have regardless of what I’m going through but I’m also very good at hiding my health issues and pain, acting completely normal but really I’m in excruciating pain 24/7 to the point I can barely work my job anymore and barely get up and walk and do day to day simple tasks. On the 25th I finally went to get my foot and ankles checked again because they both have been hurting and giving out on me constantly, I got worse news then I expected or wanted. I have a bunch of bone fragments in both ankles and they are so unstable that he needs to go in and reconstruct them.. on Friday I’ll be having my first one done on my right ankle followed by fixing my big toe again and my pinky toe. Once my right ankle and foot heals I will need the exact same surgery done to the left one. Once I heal from these I will need to have my jaw fixed so I can eat solid foods again and talk easier and I’ll be having artificial discs put in and partial reconstruction at the end of the year once Im able to come up with the last 15k that I can’t get a loan for. After that it’ll be on to my neck with possible replacement discs or fusion for instability and pain (we are still trying to figure out which is best for me and my situation atm), followed by that it’ll be my wrists next for bad Carpel tunnel and dislocations. Then on to a 3rd nose surgery to fix my nasal valve collapse, then it’s my shoulders for reconstruction then my hip for a torn labrum that I can barely walk with and many more sugerys to try and repair my messed up body from completely falling apart😞. It’s seriously so frustrating!!!! EDS and all my other health issues are very real and so hard to cope with and even doing the simplest of tasks all the way down to picking my son up and all my ribs dislocating or shifting to opening a water bottle and my fingers subluxating or dislocating.. just because I look completely fine and normal on the outside I’m not, I’m completely deteriorating on the inside. I’ve already had over 10+ surgery’s for repairing many other joints in my body. I just need to vent it out in a very rare occasion that never happens. Invisible illnesses suck. Be kind to everyone you never know what they are going through.

Even a share can make all the difference. My TMJ surgery is a minium of 15K out of pocket, no insurance covers the surgery and I havent been able to get it due to the outrageous cost but so badly need it due to not being able to chew solid foods and barley able to talk because of dislocations and pain. Thank you so much for your love and support, without you it wouldnt be possible. <3
