On Saturday, April 8th, a fire broke out at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts theater building. Deemed accidental, it’s estimated to have caused nearly $1 million dollars worth of damage. Luckily, no one was injured. However with Milwaukee day just around the corner, we wanted to do our part.
We reached out to Milwaukee flag creator, Robert Lenz, to partner on a design that embodies the love we have for our city. This limited edition “Hello Milwaukee” campaign will kick-off on Milwaukee day and last two weeks.
Inspired by WISN TV’s 1977 “Hello Milwaukee” promotion video, the whimsical artwork mixes a classic sun graphic with the new Milwaukee flag. Purchase your tee or tote bag this Milwaukee day to contribute to the restoration of Theatre, Art & Design & Music Department facilities & equipment, as well as student needs.
