YouthBuild programs everywhere have been helping build leaders. For some of us, it was an opportunity to learn a skill we wanted (carpentry), get the education we needed, or a place for us to have a supportive and caring atmosphere, etc. Although some programs are able to getg federal fundings and grants, we get funding, YouthBuild programs are still not able to accept every young person who comes seeking this opportunity.
