My middle school orchestra is planning a trip to a music festival on May 9, 2015! They will perform for judges, then be rewarded with a fun day at Six Flags! They have been looking forward to this trip all year, but we still need more help to make it happen. Support our young musicians by helping us reach our goal!

I've been an orchestra teacher for four years. This is the first year I decided to take my advanced orchestra on a trip. This fantastic group of 7th and 8th graders have worked so hard to prepare music throughout this school year, as well as all the years prior.
By going on this trip, they will have the opportunity to perform two pieces of music, on which they have worked so extremely hard, for judges. These adjudicators will provide feedback, as well as a score. They will be competing against other middle school orchestras around the country. This will be the first time the majority of these students have this opportunity. Unfortunately, due to music education taking a backseat to other school programs, scheduling conflicts, and inevitable budget cuts, for some of these students, it also might be their last opportunity for something like this.
I want this to be a wonderful and memorable experience for every one of these students, and I want it to be something I can provide my advanced orchestra students for years to come. Please do your part to support this wonderful music educational opportunity by purchasing a shirt showing that you support music education in our schools.
The money raised will go towards paying for the bus, students' participation in the music festival, their performance outfit, and their admission to Six Flags theme park.
