In 2010, I was hit with the idea of going to Ghana with my fellow teachers through my college, Charleston Southern University. At the time, I did not have a job, I was in school full time, and settled on the idea that if I was meant to go, I would. The finances were not there for this trip, and I did not make my trip to Ghana.
Two years ago, some girl friends and I planned a trip to Chennai, India. We bought our plane tickets, helped raise $700 for the orphanage we were going to be working with and even had toy donations weighing over 50 pounds in a suitcase to go with us. The day of our trip, we missed our flight and couldn't afford to purchase another ticket. To make a long story short, our trip to India fell through.
I couldn't help but be angry. How could something I felt so called to do, not work out and twice already? Little did I know that the Lord would present another mission trip years later through NewSpring Church.
