Have you ever had a life changing experience?I know that I have. As my family and friends know, I have been working with individuals with a wide range of disabilities since the beginning of high school. Throughout the years, I have had many life changing experiences which have caused me to be a strong advocate and voice, for those who have none. My passion for people has grown into so much more as I get older and more experienced.I would like to take my experience and passion for people to the next level and start funding for my volunteer trip overseas. I will be going to a country that is in desperate need of volunteers at the time, which will vary depending on when I have the money to go. I will be working in a Special Needs Care Program which will allow me to help staff in the centers with providing care, feeding, physical therapy, education, stimulation, etc. I will be doing this as well as promoting proper health and hygiene techniques. I will be going on my trip through a Volunteer Travel Organization called IVHQ. which is a program that is more affordable than most. When the time comes for me to register for my program, I will chat with my Program Manager about which country is in the most need of special needs volunteers (currently for example, it's Peru - Lima)But I think it would be best if I went somewhere that was in particular need at the time that I am prepared to go. Funding will be used for:- Registration fees- Program costs - Flights- Travel Insurance- VisaAny extra money raised from funding will be donated.I will be saving money as well to help cover the expenses of my trip overseas.I have always wanted to help others, but I never knew how far I'd actually come. I can't believe that I am planning to go overseas to do what I love most. I will be forever thankful for anybody who buys my t-shirts and please don't feel obligated to. I am planning on going within a year or two so that I can have time to raise/save enough money.Thank you to all of the people who have supported me throughout my journey of supporting individuals with special needs.
