A little background on me, I've been playing guitar since I was nine, as I progressed I began jamming with a friend who played keyboards in Junior High and a drummer. We kept it up into High School during the early 80's playing mostly Rock music including Gamma and Pat Travers to name a couple.
I never pursued my music publicly after that, slowing down in the 90's but kept playing on my own right up to present day. In 2012 I released my debut CD Traveling Through Time, a mix of Progressive Rock and Jazz Fusion, thanks to the technology these days I was able to produce some music that I am proud of.
It was mixed by me and professionally mastered. Limited equipment and software made it more difficult but I made the best recording I could with the resources that were available, that's where you come in.
I am trying to raise money for a new CD project, all the money raised will go to everything I need, which includes, new equipment, professional mixing, mastering, transportation, CD replication services for distribution, promotion and any other miscellaneous things needed to complete my project so I can make it as professional sounding as possible.
I will be setting up more campaigns in stages until I raise the amount needed, so the amounts will be smaller per campaign.
There is no completion date of when it will be finished (it could take a year or more) and I would need the full amount goal in order to get the CD's replicated so it is kind of open ended. If I do not get amount needed, I will have to make due and try to make the best CD with the limited amount I have.
It is very expensive to make a quality recording/CD the right way, for example just to professionally mix and master one song with a well known industry studio costs around $650.00, and that doesn't include if you use studio for recording, any equipment, software, CD replication etc. so that is why I am asking the amount needed for each stage that is reached.
