Giving Back Program: May 2014

This month's cause: The ALS Association - Greater Philadelphia Chapter

Update: The numbers are in. We have raised $500.00 for ALS Association!

Wonderful people participating in an ALS Walk for a Cure

May, among other important causes, is ALS Awareness Month.

From the ALS Association website

Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, a devastating neuromuscular disease for which there is no effective treatment or cure.

Every day the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter provides help for today and hope for tomorrow for ALS patients, their families, and caregivers living in the eastern half of Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. Help for today includes a multitude of programs provided at no charge, such as ALS multidisciplinary clinics, in-home care programs, and medical equipment loans. Hope for tomorrow includes global research that is improving the understanding of ALS, developing new support systems for patients and working to find treatments and a cure.

The mission of The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, is to lead the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.

We are honored to help support ALS Awareness.
