Since 1984, The Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin has been dedicated to easing the burden of families whose lives have been disrupted as a result of their child’s illness or injury.
More than 35,000 families have stayed at the Milwaukee location while their child received critical medical care. Families from 568 Wisconsin communities, 50 states and 26 foreign countries have stayed at their Ronald McDonald House. They offer a place to call home at little or no cost so families can stay together, helping their child heal faster.
In addition to a place to stay, they offer families a supportive community of over 600 volunteers that are dedicated to make the lives of the families staying at the house easier.
Most importantly, the House offers the emotional support and friendship of other families facing very similar situations.
After many years of having an extensive waiting list, they’ve recently expanded to accommodate more families and offer the following amenities:
- 70 private guest rooms
- New entrance and reception area
- Fitness center
- Computer room
- Study room
- Game room
- Music therapy room
- Two level parking structure
- Expanded dining facilities
- Expanded Family Meal Program
The expansion cost was more than $10 million and, to date, they have raised $8.5 million.
This is where The Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin needs your help.
We’ve designed a limited edition “Ronald McDonald House” t-shirt that will help further support their mission. During the month of January, for every shirt sold of the Ronald McDonald House t-shirt design, we are donating 1/3 of every sale. Get yours before they're gone - sale ends 1/31/15!
We're honored to be supporting their efforts as they help provide a “home away from home” and caring outreach initiative to families in our community.
